    Brief Description

    ProActive Physical Therapy is seeking a Physician Services Representative to be responsible for increasing referrals (new patients) to specific programs (current or future) within ProActive through effective targeting, messaging and strategic; serve as a liaison between ProActive facilities/staff (directors, clinicians, front office) and the physician (physician groups) in their respective territory; will pull through on other strategic initiatives, including Workers’ Compensation initiatives, community events, sports medicine and other brand outreach initiatives deemed strategically significant.

    Essential Job Functions

    • Identify and target key physicians and physician groups within territory based on historical business trends, prescribing habits and physician specialty
    • Use data effectively to target physicians and physician group accounts and develop territory call rotation according to business needs
    • Based on territory geography, volume, trends and needs, schedule and conduct regular sales calls, business entertainment, educational offerings and special events with customers/prospects to increase new patient referrals (evaluations)
    • Based on business need, facilitate and coordinate opportunities for clinical staff interaction with key physicians and physician groups and be a resource for clinical staff relative to territory physicians/groups
    • Workers’ compensation pull through efforts to include identification of top workers’ compensation referral sources in territory, along with clinical product pull through efforts with clinical operations
    • Manage territory database, including physician contact information, preferences, protocols and special requests. Communicate regularly with treating clinicians and ProActive sites regarding physician related issues
    • Communicate customer concerns, complaints, and compliments to the appropriate individual. Follow up with regular customer contact to ensure loyalty to ProActive
    • Monitor customer feedback channels to identify potential negative customer concerns
    • Maintain a working knowledge of all physician specialties, referral patterns, competitors within the designated territory. Share knowledge with Director of Marketing/Sales
    • Plan, organize and participate in community outreach events as needed
    • Develop and communicate a quarterly review of territory performance to management and peers focusing on sales results (growth), key successes, key challenges, critical issues and develop quarterly action plans to positively effect change in territory (company) new patient volume
    • Develop and communicate weekly plans to effectively target customers and maintain frequency with top accounts
    • Coordinate and assist in facilitating referrals from ProActive facilities to referring providers
    • Based on business need, coordinate and facilitate regular pathways for communication with clinics within territory to capitalize on opportunities for growth
    • Source leads for Workers’ Compensation relationships, community relationships and sports medicine outreach relationships to the Director of Sales/Marketing and/or the appropriate individual
    • Communicate needs regularly regarding marketing/brand collateral to appropriate resource
    • Manage territory expenses and track return on investment of sales activities

    Qualifications

    • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills dealing with a diverse range of people
    • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
    • Excellent time management and execution skills
    • Ability to exercise a high degree of initiative and independent judgement in solving problems
    • Effective development of daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly strategic plans focused on objective data
    • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, discuss features/benefits, handle objections and close
    • Possess a strong understanding of the physical therapy space and Foothills services, staff and operations
    • Able to work as a positive team member with peers and management
    • Able to develop, foster and advance relationships with others, both within and outside of the organization
    • Ability to maintain and ensure confidentiality of all patient/client information in accordance with HIPAA policies and procedures
    • Understanding of EMR and CRM systems

    Minimum Education/Experience

    • Bachelor’s Degree in marketing or healtcare related field
    • At least 3 years of direct sales experience, rehabilitation or service-based industry preferred
    • Efficiency utilizing Microsoft Office Programs (i.e. Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
    • Possession of valid driver’s license and good driving record
    • Possession of automobile for business use
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

    Work Environment:

    This job operates in a professional work environment.  This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, scanners and photocopiers. This position will also perform duties in a clinical setting where noise can be moderate to heavy.

    Travel Required:

    Up to 100% travel is required for sales and clinical visibility.
